One of the most frequently asked questions of all time is, "How do I make money on the Internet"?
If you have been trying to make money on the Internet for even a short while, you have undoubtedly heard quite a few names being thrown about. It seems as if everyone sees themselves as an expert and everyone who is anyone knows everyone else who is someone. It is like a marketing guru clique. And they make you think that if you do not know somebody, you will always be a nobody.
You have probably encountered product launches, audio and video streaming, teleseminars, and joint ventures, etc. The gurus that are selling these products and services are making money hand over fist. In all fairness, these products and services are genuine and valuable to the folks who buy them.
But what most of them will not tell you is that there are thousands of people on the Internet making thousands of dollars a month without spending a lot of money. They do not fly to every seminar in the country just to make contacts. They rarely do joint ventures, because frankly, no one knows who they are. They literally sit in front of their computers in their underwear, click a few links, and wait for the money to roll in.
How do they do it? Affiliate links, Google Adsense, and content.
Take Google Adsense, for instance. Search engines love good content, the more, the better.
When you create multiple content pages on your website, the search engine spiders crawl the site, then follow each link to more content, which helps raise your rankings.
How does this make you money? By placing Adsense ads on every page. As readers click through your pages, many will also click the Adsense links. Every time they do, you make a commission from Google. It can be anywhere from a few cents to several dollars.
They do not have to buy anything. Just clicking the link makes you money. The more people you drive to your site, the more people will click the links, and the more money you will make.
Now all you need is content. If you are a good writer, you can write your own. But most of us are not.
One option would be to use articles written by others. Go to any of the popular article directories and you will find thousands of articles. Most can used free of charge as long as you include the resource box with each article. Since you are not promoting your own product, this is a very viable option.
The major downside to using other peoples articles is that the reader will view them as the expert and likely click the link in the resource box instead of the Adsense links, and you lose money.
However, the best option is Private Label Rights articles. Just a little editing can turn these articles into your own creation. The reader will view you as the expert, since you are not competing with another writer.
You can also include your own resource box with a link to an affiliate program, so whether they click the Adsense links or your affiliate link, you have increased your chances of making money. And you have done it without a single product of your own.
Making money on the Internet is not as difficult as some would have you believe. As with any business, give the people what they want and they will keep coming back.

Understanding Adsense Report
When you log into your Google Adsense account, you are automatically taken to the page where you can view all your Adsense activity. On the Reports tab, you’ll see “Today’s Earnings.” This is the approximate amount you have earned today in your Google Adsense account. Earnings are not final at this point and could be adjusted for invalid clicks or fees.
It’s interesting to look at the breakdown. As you can see, Adsense for Content, which refers to the targeted ads appearing on the pages in which you have written content, is listed first. Here you will see the number of page impressions listed in the first column. While a page impression is generally the same as a page view, that is not always the case. For a more detailed definition of a page impression, see Google Adsense support, click on Your Adsense Account and then click on Your Adsense Report.
Next, you’ll notice the number of clicks. This refers to the number of times “your ads” were clicked on.
Page click through rate or CTR is in the next column shown as a percentage. It represents the percentage of the time an ad was clicked on after viewing your page.
Don’t be intimidated by these statistics. The bottom line, your earnings, is what really counts. As you become more familiar with Google Adsense, statistics will become like second nature. First, just start.
How is Google Adsense Different From Other Ad Networks?
Primarily because it is Google and that carries a lot of clout just with name recognition alone. But here are some advantages to being a part of the Google Adsense network:
Getting started is fast and easy and requires no technical knowledge. Google Adsense even provides html code for easy implementation with clear instructions.
Google Adsense has both the Adsense for Content feature and the Adsense for Search feature.
Google Adsense not only provides keyword targeted ads but site targeted ads as well, maximizing your potential for revenue.
Google Adsense provides a filter so that you can choose not to run your competitor’s ads on your pages as well as filter other unwanted ads.
Google Adsense provides an extensive support site that is easily understood.

What Ads will I get on My Google Adsense Online Site?
Do you ever feel like you know just enough about Google Adsense advertising to be dangerous? Let's see if we can fill in some of the gaps with the latest info from Google Adsense advertising experts.
The ads that Google AdSense serves to your site will be on the topic of your site.
Google's program is very good at making sure you don't get any ads that aren't family friendly, on your family site. The ads you get will look like they belong there. You will not get ads about ballerinas on your sporting goods site unless you have a ballerina page on your site.
Google's robots will look at the keywords in your content and serve ads that relate to that content.
|
| What if I don't want to accept Google Adsense ads from a certain advertiser?
Google offers an ad filter for you to use. You can list domains that you don't want to receive ads from.
If you are an affiliate of Billy Bob's Bacon Press, you won't want to have Google ads from Billy Bob's. So you add BillyBob.com to your filters and you won't see any ads from that site on yours. |
If you notice an ad on your site that you don't think is relevant to your content, you just add that domain to your filter. As of this writing, Google allows you to add 150 different domains to your filter list.
The more authentic information about Google Adsense advertising you know, the more likely people are to consider you a Google Adsense advertising expert. Read on for even more Google Adsense advertising facts that you can share.
You don't have to worry an about adding porn sites or other unfavorable sites to these filters because Google will not serve these ads to your site anyway. These filters are basically for eliminating your competition from advertising on your site.
Google also has their own ad filters that will make sure you don't get any inappropriate ads.
Sometimes it's tough to sort out all the details related to this subject, but I'm positive you'll have no trouble making sense of the information presented above.
When word gets around about your command of Online advertising with Google Adsense, others who need to know about Online advertising with Google Adsense will start to actively seek you out.

The Full Adsense Formula
The Full Adsense Formula
Adsense is the best income generating program ever spawned! Why?
There is no product or service to promote. Only your domain. Webspace, an Adsense account, and highly targeted traffic is needed. Your success with adsense, you will soon learn, is as easy as driving s car or cooking a four course meal. The reality is Adsense Success and everything else has to be learned. When you learned how to drive a car it became simple and after a couple of months of driving everyday or so. It became second nature. Once you learn the Adsense formula and it's variables. The sky's the limit with Google Adsense
Learn The Adsense Craft.
You can't cheat your way to success or for some a healthy adsense income. Just like anything other skill in life, it has to be learned. Everything that everyone knows was learned from a teacher(I.E. Anyone), a book, an article(I.E. Newspapers, Magazines, and the Internet), or by word of mouth. You have to learn the adsense formula and all the adsense variables. I have a A.A.S in Computer Programming and Engineering. So believe me I know how to give low-level instructions. No one can tell YOU how to make YOUR site a success, only guide you in the right direction.
The Adsense Variables
TT(High CTR) + Content = Adsense Earnings
Content - try to have a 1000 words of keyphrase-rich content.
High CTR - highly optimized placement of the adsense code.
TT - Highly Targeted Traffic
Yes that's it. The "Adsense Formula" is just a basic math problem and as we all know any on can learn math. We're not near finished. These variables the make up the Adsense Formula is the key to your success. Why refer to them as variables, because these Adsense elements constantly change and YOU are in full control of them. Imagine a indoor plant and its variables. Sunlight, Soil PH, CO2, Fertilizer, and Water. You control every variable and if each one is highly optimized then you will have a healthy fast-growing plant. If you highly optimize each adsense variable then you will in turn receive a healthy fast growing adsense income. Now that we have an understanding let's evaluate this "Adsense Formula."
Adsense Content
Keywords are a bad idea! High paying or not. In fact don't choose high paying keywords, not because of the saturation of SEO experts, but because keywords are to broad. Adwords is ying and Adsense is yang. Broad keywords have low payouts and ctr. You want to target keyphrases, so your site only displays high paying adsense ads, not .15 adsense ads from some beginner with one of your terms in their adwords campaign. There is a lot of free content online, but it is best to use unique content for search engine purposes. To accomplish this hire a writer or choose niche subjects that you are familiar with, so that you can write your own articles and e-books. Don't base your site on money rather than your passion. Example. My passion is computers and networking.
Adsense CTR
Optimal adsense ad placement is the heart of high adsense ctr. There are four locations on a webpage the receives the most clicks.
1. Just above the fold. The fold is the end of the section of the page you can view without scrolling.
2. All along side the left column.
3. In your content, if very interesting and informative.
4. At the end of your content after a reader finishes.
Adsense ad format effects ctr greatly whether or not they are placed in the right spots. Squares receive the most clicks, beginning with the largest and so on. The ads should blend with your page. Only the link title should be a different color than the text and url. No borders unless red or yellow. They attract viewer's eyes.
The link color should match your site's links, but blue and red work the best. Incredibly Increase your adsense ctr up to 400% by placing related images above or to the left of adsense ads.
Highly Targeted Traffic
Yes, there is a difference between targeted traffic and highly targeted traffic. Someone looking for an online business would be targeted traffic to this article, but someone looking for an adsense business would be a highly targeted visitor. Why high quality traffic? Your Ctr will be amazing and unbelievable because all of your traffic will be looking for YOUR site. Don't be surprised if you have certain days where 97% of your visitors clicked an adsense ad. How? Blogs, Articles, E-books, Rss Feeds, and most SERP(search engine results page) traffic. Never use traffic exchanges or links from other sites unless their content is similar to yours.
In my experience TrafficSwarm is the only echange that will get you clicks without getting your adsense account terminated. I have given you the full adsense formula in detail, but for more info please visit Adsense Secret Tips or my blog at Adsense Secret Tips Blog

Google Adsense Profits Mixed In With Affiliate Marketing
Are you a webmaster who needs funds to keep your website running? Or is your website the only way for you to earn income? Whichever you are, for as long as you are a webmaster or a web publisher and you need cash, affiliate marketing may work well for you. With affiliate marketing, you may get a lot of cash pouring into your bank account easily. And if your website is rich in great contents and you want to earn more profit, why not get into the Google Adsense program as well?
Why Affiliate Marketing?
Well, simply because affiliate marketing is the easiest and probably the best way to earn profits online, unless otherwise you are a businessman and would rather sell your own products online than advertise other businessman’s products on your site. But even online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates.
Affiliate marketing, simply said, is a relationship or agreement made between two websites, with one site being the merchant’s website and the other being the affiliate’s site. In the relationship, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise his products on the affiliate’s site. The merchant, on the other hand, would agree to pay the affiliate in whatever method they have agreed into. This would generally mean easy income for the affiliate, as he would do nothing but place the retailer’s ad on his site. This would also be very beneficial for the merchant, as getting affiliates to advertise their products would be a lot more affordable than hiring an advertising firm to promote their products.
There are a variety of methods on how the merchant would compensate the affiliate for his services, and for the webmaster, these methods simply translates to the method by which he would earn easy cash. Among the more common methods of compensation are the pay-per-click method, the pay-per-lead method, and the pay-per-sale method. The pay-per-click method is the method most preferred by affiliates, for their site’s visitor would only have to visit the advertiser’s site for them to gain money. The other two methods, on the other hand, are better preferred by merchants, as they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their registrants or if the visitor would actually buy their products.
Getting much profit on affiliate marketing programs, however, does not depend so much on the compensation method is it does on the traffic generated by your site. A website that can attract more visitors would generally have the greater chance of profiting in affiliate marketing programs.
What about Google Adsense?
Google Adsense is actually some sort of an affiliate marketing program. In Google Adsense, Google act as the intermediary between the affiliates and the merchants. The merchant, or the advertiser, would simply sign up with Google and provide the latter with text ads pertaining to their products. These ads, which is actually a link to the advertiser’s website, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the websites owned by the affiliates, or by those webmasters who have signed up with the Google Adsense program.
While one can find a lot of similarities between Google Adsense and other affiliate marketing programs, you can also see a lot of differences. In Google Adsense, all the webmaster has to do is place a code on his website and Google takes care of the rest. The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be relevant to the content of your site. This would be advantageous both for you and for the advertiser, as the visitors of your site would more or less be actually interested with the products being advertised.
The Google Adsense program compensates the affiliate in a pay-per-click basis. The advertisers would pay Google a certain amount each time their ad on your site is clicked and Google would then forward this amount to you through checks, although only after Google have deducted their share of the amount. Google Adsense checks are usually delivered monthly. Also, the Google Adsense program provides webmasters with a tracking tool that allows you to monitor the earnings you actually get from a certain ad.
So, where do all of these lead us to?
Where else but to profits, profits and even more profits! Affiliate marketing programs and the Google Adsense program simply work, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate. For the merchant’s side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms. For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating websites. And if you combine all your profits from both the Google Adsense program and other affiliate marketing programs, it would surely convert to a large amount of cash.

Why You Should Avoid Google's Content Network
When you create an AdWords campaign you have a choice as to whether you want your ads to appear on Google’s network of content sites. These are sites that have signed up for Google’s Adsense program, which allows them to display AdWords ads on their pages. Generally speaking, this is not very targeted traffic. Google tries to display your ad on pages with relevant content, and it does a pretty good job of it. Nonetheless, I personally do not like this traffic, and I will tell you why.
When marketing on the Internet, the sooner your ad is displayed to your prospect, the greater your chance of making a sale. This is the reason why search engine traffic performs so well. Most surfers initiate their Internet activity at a search engine. Indeed, many have a search engine like Google, Yahoo, or MSN set as their home page. In other words, it is the first thing they see when they log onto the Internet.
Lets take a closer look at the chain of events. A surfer logs onto the Internet because she wants to find something. She goes to Google and enters her search and among the results she sees your ad. It catches her attention and she clicks through to your site. Since you are offering exactly what she is looking for, she is turned into a customer and you make a sale. This scenario happened the way it did because we understand the virtues of targeted traffic, but it also happened because we were the first to satisfy the surfer’s needs.
Now, say the surfer has been online for some time and has been surfing from one site to another, looking around and possibly doing research. This surfer may be frustrated because she has not found what she wants, and is therefore in a negative mindset. What is more likely, however, is that this surfer has turned into a window shopper. Either way, since this surfer has been online for some time now, the result is she will be harder to convert into a sale.
When your site is shown on content sites it is being displayed to surfers who have often been online for a longer period of time and are generally not as receptive to your message. Add to this the fact that your ad will not be as targeted and your chances of converting the surfer are even less.
What we want is highly targeted traffic and we want that traffic to be receptive to our message. As that traffic becomes more and more diluted, its value diminishes as well.
One strategy that can be used with content targeting is to create a separate campaign for it. In this campaign all bids would be as low as possible, i.e. 5 cents. In this way you can display your ad on content sites, but the cost would be more in line with the traffic’s value. Keep in mind also that there is greater chance of click fraud when advertising on content sites, which is another good reason to keep bids as low as possible.
Google recently added a feature where you can bid separately on your content network ads, which allows you to bid lower on your content network ads without having to setup another campaign. This is useful and can be a good solution. I still prefer to create a separate campaign for content network advertising, however. A separate campaign allows for greater organization and analysis. This choice is one of personal preference, though, and you should use whichever option you feel more comfortable with.
In the end, you should be skeptical about content targeting, as the traffic quality will not be the same as the pure search engine traffic. If you really want the extra traffic, then make sure you bid separately for your content site campaign, keeping your bids as low as possible. You should also keep a close eye on your stats to make sure you are not paying for any fraudulent clicks. Good luck.

Using Blogs For Affilate And Adsense Profits Combined
How do you set up a blog for effective affilate and Adsense profits?
Here is the low down of how it’s done and some of the in’s and outs of rss.
For this example I will use web hosting as the affilate product we selling on the blog.
1. Rss is great for getting the robots to visit but it will not get you visitors until
You have quite a number of pages
Have decent page rank…
2. Best blog platform…
>>> http://www.wordpress.org
3. Blog page - index page.
A two column blog I find works the best
The sidebar should be on the right hand of the page for SEO purposes
Heading for your affiliate reviews shouls be first… something like “In-Dpeth, Top 5 Cheap Hosting Reviews”. Two links underneath, one going to reviews and the other to “why our reviews are more relaible than other sites”
4. Reviews of your products.
4 to 10 reviews, make them long and give info of what benefits one product has over the other and a rating for different aspects. Do not put adsense on your reviews page.
This site does it really well - http://www.keywordworkshop.com/ and it’s a blog to boot.
5. Next heading in the sidebar - “Articles”
A link going to current articles followed by a search box for your articles. Each article page is where you Adsense sits and here are some good tips…
All links including Adsense, one color underlined.
Research has shown the normal blue and darker blue get’s the best hits
Adsense in the middle and at the end of all your articles… you will get less click troughs with Adsense in the borders
6. Next heading “contact Me”
Blurb… A little confused with all the info, so many choices or an aspect of one of “hosting reviews” (linked to your review page … feel free drop me an email any time.. blah blah
Then more headings after this is you wish… “My fav top ten hosting tips articles”… “Top 5 Domain Name Website Reviews”? and so on.
The way I see it, is if they are customers coming for information on a given product, service or business area, why not stick some products up and make some more money!
If they are just interested in the articles monetize those with Adsense.
And then if for any reason you have a bad Adsense month, the affilate income is there as a backup.
The final tip is to keep your blogs clean so people can easily find the information they are looking for whether that be a product or articles.

How do you make money with Google?
Google is recognized by most people as the web's premier search engine all over the world. So many people come here to find what they want to know. So, Google has become a premium revenue source for webmasters and online marketers. People are making much money with Google who have mastered Google with their marketing techniques. Generally, there are two ways, Adwords or Adsense.
Make money with Google Adwords
Google Adwords is for the people who are doing online business. You only pay for the clicks of your advertisement. You need sign up for an account before all the things you do. The URL is here: http://adwords.google.com/select. Then specify the place and language you want to advertise. Then complete the description of your products, fill in the blank with your product's url. Then just think what words people will search when they need your product. Just make these words as the keywords of your Adwords account and specify the price per click. Also Google give you some advice when you selecting your keywords: http://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordTool . You can find it is very helpful. OK. That is done. Now you need add your payment information. Just add your credit card. Google will charge $5 as the set up fee. After one or two hours your advertisement will be displaced on the right side of Google or many content websites when the keywords matched.
That is not all. You need to look up the results to your keywords' clicks. Spend less money and get more profits.
Make money online with Google Adsense
Google Adsense is for people who have their own websites or blogs. Just set up an account with the url of http://www.google.com/adsense . Then get the code from Google and paste them on you website or blog. When people come to your site, if they are interested in the Adsense programs shown on your website, they click it. Then you earn money from his click. It is not specified how much per click. The price is based on your website's content and where the visitors come from. You can do something to improve the price or to get more clicks from the visitors. It is advised that you must read the policy of Google Adsense carefully before you do these. Otherwise the clicks will be considered as fraud clicks and you get no money from Google. Google will send you the money when there is more than $100 in your account. You can receive the money via bank wire if you are in North America. You can receive a check worldwide. By the way, the content is King. The better content, the more traffic, then the more money. Google doesn't allow you doing things that enhance the clicks of Adsense. You will be banned soon and get no money.

Evaluation of Keywords for an AdSense Oriented Website
by F. Terrence Markle
The Google AdSense movement is gaining momentum every day. The driving force in the system is Google's AdWords ads. The AdSense program enables website owners to monetize their site and make additional income.
Although Google has made it simple and easy to implement AdSense on your website, you have to spend your time and effort to develop a central theme and the supporting content-rich web pages for your website. You should develop your website around a specific keyword phrase that has a high potential to monetize your website through AdSense. The content and theme of your website should be centered around the keyword phrase that you are targeting.
AdSense Factor
--------------
Refer to my article on The AdSense Factor for an overview on monetizing your website with AdSense at:
http://www.QuikSystems.com/Article/The-Adsense-Factor.htm
Objective
---------
The purpose of this report is to show you one method that I use to evaluate a keyword phrase relative to other keyword phrases for use in an AdSense oriented website. It is not intended to show you how to select a list of keyword themes for evaluation. That topic is covered adequately in many different other ebooks and reports. As a valuable resource, I use the following keyword research tool to help me locate extremely profitable keyword phrases waiting for AdSense content or niche products:
http://www.QuikSystems.com/adsense/sn.htm
Example
-------
The following example illustrates the potential ranking of keyword- oriented websites based on keyword phrases previously selected by me (or you) for consideration as a keyword-oriented AdSense website. You must always remember there is no one best method to determine the potential profitability or viability of any specific keyword phrase when building a website geared towards AdSense monetization. It takes careful and methodical research followed by in-depth testing.
The terms used in this example for a specific keyword phrase are:
* Searches = number of searches made by search engine users for a specific keyword phrase in the previous month as determined by Overture at http://www.Overture.com
* Top CPC = the current maximum bid (cost per click) by an advertiser on Overture for a specific keyword phrase
* Competition Pages = the number of web pages indexed by Google when you perform a search for a specific keyword phrase on Google's search engine
* Competitive Ratio = Competition Pages / Searches
* Value Index = Competitive Ratio / Top CPC
Keyword Phrase Searches Top Competition Comp Value
CPC Pages Ratio Index
-------------- -------- ----- ---------- ----- -----
hardwood floor 167,461 $3.02 4,010,000 23.9 7.9
bridal registry 102,568 $4.68 2,210,000 21.5 4.6
auto towing 109,893 $0.51 4,020,000 36.6 71.7

Note: Information obtained for this evaluation in November, 2005 can be found in the following excellent websites:
* Overture: http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/rc/srch/ (see Keyword Selector Tool and View Bids Tool)
* NicheBOT: http://www.NicheBOT.com
The guidelines to look for in building an AdSense-oriented keyword phrase website includes the following items:
* You need the ability or resource to generate fresh quality content centered around the central theme of your website on a regular basis.
* You want a relatively high amount of targeted traffic (visitors to your website)
* You want to minimize when possible the number of competing websites
* You would like to have your website optimized for high-paying AdSense ads
Analysis and Evaluation
-----------------------
First, let's assume that you have the ability and desire to generate fresh quality content for any of the keyword phrases on the list of potential keyword phrases under consideration. This can be done by writing your own articles, hiring someone to write the articles for you or using information generated by other individuals that can be freely utilized without copyright infringement.
Second, I have purposely selected keyword phrases in my initial search that had searches exceeding 100,000 in the most recent month. There is no magic number to use as the minimum search amount. However, the probability decreases in being able to get a portion of the traffic to visit your website as the number of monthly searches decreases. Search engine optimization may play a vital role in generating traffic to your website. If you like, raise the number to 200,000 or higher and see what results you obtain. Keep in mind that at some point the number of available keyword phrases decrease as the minimum search volume requirement is raised. It is a matter of trial-and-error research to find your desired search number.
Third, the competition tends to increase for the more popular keyword phrases. The popular keywords usually have a lot of AdSense- oriented web pages that are trying to "win the AdSense clicks" of a limited number of visitors searching for quality content on a specific keyword phrase. This competition is usually expressed as the "competitive ratio." It indicates the number of indexed web pages that exist for each search by a search engine user for a specific keyword phrase. The ratio increases as the competition for a keyword phrase increases assuming a steady level of visitor searches. Not every web page indexed for a specific keyword phrase is trying to get AdSense clicks. However, the non-AdSense oriented web pages are still competing for the search engine visitors.
Fourth, the top bid price (or cost per click) paid by the individual CPC advertiser (i.e., the amount paid by the advertiser to the search engine for every click on their search engine ad) also tends to increase as the popularity of a keyword phrase increases. As an AdSense oriented website publisher, you want to maximize the CPC value of the AdSense ads that are displayed on your content theme website. As a side note, you would want to minimize (or optimize) your CPC value if you were searching for a keyword phrase centered around a product of service you wanted to advertise on Google AdWords.
Using the above guidelines, I have classified the list of keyword phrases as follows (in order of preference as a keyword phrase to design an AdSense oriented website around):
Keyword Phrase Top Competitive Value
CPC Ratio Index
Rank Rank Rank
---------------------- ---- ----------- -----
bridal registry 2 2 1
commodity broker 8 1 2
adjustable bed 5 4 3
hardwood floor 6 3 4
consolidate debt 3 6 5
credit card debt 1 5 6
health insurance quote 7 7 7
criminal lawyer 4 10 8
auto towing 10 5 9
hair replacement 9 9 10
From this list of rankings for each keyword phrase, I would probably select "bridal registry" as my first choice and "commodity broker" as my second choice. In a similar manner, I would probably put "hair replacement" as my last choice and "auto towing" as the next to last choice.
Everything boils down to how comfortable you personally feel about this ranking system or your own ranking system. I use a ranking system that tries to remove the subjective "guess work" and thereby focus on the objective benefits of each keyword phrase.
I hope this methodology has value to you in your selection and utilization of keyword phrases in your own AdSense oriented websites. The primary objective is to select a keyword phrase that you can use to build a quality and content-rich monetized AdSense website.

10 Great things NOT to do with Google AdSense
by Diane Nassy
There is no question that you can make some good money with Google AdSense, but you're setting yourself up for disaster if you make any of these Top 10 mistakes!
1. Do not use fake information when opening your Google AdSense account.
Google says that's a no-no and they will cut your account off and keep all the money you may have earned. Besides, trying to hide your true identity can cause serious problems with the I.R.S. or whoever your tax authority is.
2. Do not hack or modify Google AdSense code other than to change the parameters that Google authorizes you to change.
Any attempt to bypass Google's built-in algorithms not only poses a danger to the integrity of the network, but it threatens the financial modle that Google operates under. You're not dealing with some Mom-and-Pop company here, and Google has the legal muscle and deep enough pockets to drag you through every court in the land if you damage their business with your hacking antics.
3. Keep AdSense ads off of your registration, confirmation, and all "thank you" pages.
Don't ask me why you can't put your ads there. It makes sense to me that those would be wonderful locations. Google thinks otherwise, however, and doing so is a hanging offense according to their Terms of Service.
4. Do not display AdSense ads and a competitor's ads (like Overture's) on the same page at the same time.
That just makes plain good sense. Google doesn't demand 100% SITE loyalty from you, but they do insist that their own ads not be cluttered up by offerings from their competitors.
5. Don't "beg for clicks" or provide any incentive for clicking on your Google AdSense ads.
This is a biggie and you see this rule violated all the time. Any of the "get paid to do stuff" sites that put Google ads in the member's control panels are walking the plank and they don't even realize it. Even those sites with the polite little messages asking you to "help keep my site running by clicking on our sponsor's ads" are asking to be cut off if those happen to be Google ads.
6. Never click on the ads running on your own site, even if you are genuinely interested in the product or service and are thinking of buying it!
Nothing screams FRAUD louder than a webmaster running up his or her own click counts by happily clicking on ads fromtheir own site. The Google Gods can track this activity and it won't be long until you find yourself getting a goodbye note from their fraud team.
7. No misleading labeling
Google is very specific about what text can be placed around their ads. Their Terms of Service state: "Publishers may not label the ads with text other than 'sponsored links' or 'advertisements.' This includes any text directly above our ads that could be confused with, or attempt to be associated with Google ads."
This is to keep visitors from becoming confused and barking up Google's tree when they clicked on an ad that led to a porn site instead of the recipe site they were expecting to visit.
8. Avoid keyword spamming and other divisive tricks
You may be tempted to buy one of those "generates thousands of key-word rich pages in seconds" programs that are so popular these days but I'll tell you this: Their days are numbered. Google is wise to such shenanigans and they will be hot on your trail. Other prohibited gimmicks include:
* "Sneaky" page redirects that send a visitor off to a different site then they were expecting to visit.
* Multiple sites, domains, pages, etc. which have substantially duplicate content.
* Hidden text or links of any type.
* Excessive outbound links on any page. Google recommends no more than 100. I'd keep it way below that.
* And here is a nugget of wisdom straight from Google's mouth: "Do not participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web as your website may be affected adversely by those links.
9. Don't advertise anything on Google's prohibited items list.
It's a lot shorter lists than PayPal's or eBay's, but it includes a lot of the same stuff like hacking/cracking content, porn, illegal drugs, gambling sites, beer or hard alcohol (I guess wine is OK), weapons, and the other usual stuff.
10. And the 10th dumbest thing NOT to do with Google AdSense is to let the other nine things stop you from running an honest site that's designed to make the most out of this very profitable opportunity that Google offers!
